"In 19-69, a naked woman carrying a cross walked through the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The performance act went under the name ‘Female Christ’. The social revolution and constant transgression of boundaries in the late 1960s meant that artists’ expressions took new directions. Some artists opposed of dominant values and behavior of society by using performance art: art that exists while in progress. However, this also means that significant voices and parts of art history from this time period risk to fade as they only exist as photographic or filmed records. Dripping Rhubarb is a scent that captivates the soul and makes people wonder whether they are placed in a surrealistic forest where tulips grow two meters tall, or in a metallic yet soft dream where mossy mountain fountains splash with soft soil, or perhaps standing in a massive river with tree trunks passing rapidly while rhubarb falls from the sky.

In the mist and clouds of Darjeeling, the tea farmers gently pick the buds of the first flush. The crips and sweet aroma of each leaf lingers on their calloused hands.

In the spring of 1971, new rebellious tenants and their colorful entourage hosted the property for six months. The barefoot hippies, the beautiful settings and the dark past were a perfect match resulting in a rock album that to this day inspires people across borders and nations. The fragrance is the embodiment of the magnificent garden and beautiful surroundings of the estate.”

During this period Hotel Mutiny stood out as a lush oasis within the apocalypse and hosted a free trading zone and a never-ending party with gorgeous models, kingpins, and legendary artists. The TV-show Miami Vice has been a major influence on fashion and includes Armani jackets in pastels, rolled up sleeves. Miami Blue by 19-69 is dedicated to a place and era when champagne baths were on the charts.”

“Known as a playground for the mafia and wealthy elite, Havana in the mid 1900s hosted many vibrant music venues like the Tropicana or the members’ guild Buena Vista Social Club. The rhythmic pulsations of Habanera, Latin Jazz and Salsa that were heard everywhere coupled with the dazzling showgirls, added to the tropical island’s allure. After the revolution in 1959 many establishments closed down and with that an era of Havana ended. The scent La Habana is inspired by my uncle who was a sailor, his narratives of Cuba.”
