This saturday we will celebrate with KB3 presenting The Cool Kids! The duo of Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish met in mid-2005 after Mikey came across some of Chuck's beats online. In 2007 they started receiving a lot of press attention from Fellow Chicagoans and tastemakers Pitchfork, who invited them to play at their Summer festival. This led to a spot at New York's CMJ Music Marathon, where they shared a showcase with DJ A-Tra, who offered to put out their EP, and an opening spot on M.I.A.'s solo tour. Since then they have released a number of highly regarded EP’s and albums. In January of 2014, The Cool Kids dropped two new songs, “computerschool” and “Chop” (feat. The HBK Gang) on their SoundCloud and we are more than ready to experience the talented duo. - Storm x KBIII presenting The Cool Kids this Saturday, August 23rd. Doors open at 11pm

Following the success of I Just Arrived in Paris (Steidl, 2014) THE FLOW is the second book in the continuing collaboration between Juergen Teller & Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of Louis Vuitton. On 1 October 2014 Teller photographed Ghesquière’s Spring-Summer 2015 collection for the house, and the resulting book is a fluid mix of fashion photos in Teller’s inimitable guileless style and images of Paris shot while boating down the Seine. This combination of portraiture, still-life and landscape photography mirrors the eclectic influences and materials which Ghesquière synthesizes in his collections—a bold, unconventional flow whereby innovation unceasingly rejuvenates tradition.

One day in spring 2003, a young man called Riccardo Tisci stopped by the studio
of M/M (Paris) to buy a couple of their Alphabet posters he was admiring.
Two years later as the newly appointed creative director for Givenchy,
Tisci invited M/M to develop an ever-expanding visual langage for the revered
fashion house. Invitation cards for his fashion shows have become a space of visual
experimentations through which M/M freely express Tisci’s inspirations.
‘Hyper-chic propaganda, imperceptible appeals, juvenile graffiti, interweaving dark
choruses and hypothetical calculations of the imaginary’, as described
by Olivier Zahm, these invitations for the women, men and haute couture collections
of Givenchy are gathered for the first time in this publication, celebrating this
fertile collaboration — an original and rare happening in fashion imagery —
that is still going strong.

Diane von Furstenberg once called Diana Vreeland a "beacon of fashion for the twentieth century." Now, in this definitive biography by Amanda Mackenzie Stuart, is the story of the iconic fashion editor as you've never seen her before. From her career at the helms of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, to her reign as consultant to the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Vreeland had an enormous impact on the fashion world and left a legacy so enduring that must-have style guides still quote her often wild and always relevant fashion pronouncements. With access to Vreeland's personal material and photographs, critically acclaimed biographer Amanda Mackenzie Stuart has written the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at Diana Vreeland and her world—a jet-setting social scene that included Coco Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent, Hubert de Givenchy, Oscar de la Renta, Lauren Bacall, Penelope Tree, Lauren Hutton, Andy Warhol, Mick and Bianca Jagger, and the Kennedys. Filled with gorgeous color photographs of her work, Empress of Fashion: A Life of Diana Vreeland is an elegant and fascinating account of one of the most revered tastemakers of the 20th century.

The North Face presents the second drop of its latest Black Series collaboration: the Kazuki collection.
Created in collaboration with Japanese designer/graphic artist Kazuki Kuraishi, part two of this highly anticipated collection is focused on his interpretation of TNF Urban Exploration’s “Seamless” theme. “In my mind, ‘Seamless’ means that you can wear it to work, and also on the weekend,” Kazuki explains, “so there aren’t really any boundaries. I perceive ‘Seamless’ as clothes you can simply wear, no matter the occasion or place or mood.”
Attuned to TNF Urban Exploration’s vision to balance utility with fashion — where high-quality outdoor-inspired silhouettes are translated for the urban setting — Kazuki has created a unique modern-street look that combines premium materials and innovative details with his distinctive Japanese-minimalist styling. Known for creating a very wearable style elevated by technical/utility elements and decorative finishes, Kazuki says “function came first before design” in this collection.
Famed as an exceptional “functional streetwear” designer, Kazuki’s career began as an intern for NIGO at the iconic Japanese brand, A Bathing Ape; and flourished under the mentorship of Hiroshi Fujiwara of fragment design. Today, he’s evolved his own signature style that combines a clean “lifestyle aesthetic” with an “easy to wear” approach — yet, always with technical acumen.
